FlexScout Auto® Automated Flexible Riser Annulus Testing
In today’s challenging offshore environment where operators are striving to minimise Personnel Onboard requirement, obtain cost reductions in Operational Expenditure, and where global pandemic travel restrictions complicate normal riser annulus testing, Flexlife has developed new automated riser annulus test equipment.
FlexScout Auto® contains technology that is augmented by a carefully programmed algorithm which enables operators with minimal training to safely conduct riser annulus testing offshore without the need to mobilise additional personnel.
Key functions of the FlexScout Auto®:
- Does not require a highly trained riser specialist to use.
- Very simple to use and follow instructions.
- Simple touchscreen user interface.
- Performs a basic autonomous positive pressure riser annulus outer sheath integrity test.
- Confirms an intact riser outer sheath.
- Identify a blockage / severe restriction to riser vent ports.
- Present live flow and pressure data during the riser outer sheath integrity test.
- Provides downloadable historical test data.
- It has an added slot to support ethernet CAT5 cable connection.
- Failsafe mechanical pressure release to prevent over pressurisation during testing.
- Equipment is ATEX hazardous area Zone 2 compliant.
- Equipment is supplied in a case that allows for ease of transportation or movement.
