FlexScout®Pro Flexible Riser Annulus Testing

Flexible riser annulus testing provides a fast and efficient means to determine if a flexible riser annulus has become flooded due to outer sheath damage. This is the most efficient and cost effective method to maintain the integrity and safe operation of flexible pipes. Flexlife is the most experienced provider of annulus testing, using our own designed and patented FlexScout® annulus test kit.

Information from the test, including free volume measurements, can be used to determine the integrity of the flexible pipe outer sheath and annulus, and for corrosion assessments. From this, operators can re-assess the service life of the riser and if necessary, take corrective actions to prolong the life span of the riser.

In addition to annulus testing, Flexlife also offers a permanent real-time vent gas monitoring system, and Flexlife’s patented FlexScan® technology can be used when the flexible riser’s end fittings are not accessible.
